What is Quik Pray?
Quik Pray is individuals coming together to
pray.
Who is Quick Pray for?
Quik Pray is for whoever wants to gather
together once a week to pray.
What do you pray for?
We pray for anything that is brought to the
group. It consist of but is not limited to our church, our friends,
our family, our community, local leaders, National leaders, current
events, unspoken request…
Can you describe what a typical session is
like?
We meet at 6:30 on Sunday evening, stand in a
circle holding hands, one person starts praying and each individual
attending has the opportunity to pray. When everyone who wants to pray
is finished we end the prayer.
I don’t know how to pray?
If you want to learn how to work on cars, hang
around an auto mechanic. If you want to learn how to build a house,
hang around a carpenter. If you want to learn how to invest in the
stock market, hang around a broker. If you want to learn how to
pray, hang around individuals who pray.
I am not comfortable praying out loud around
other people. If I come am I required to pray?
No one is required to pray. We would love to
have you there and God will honor your presence.
How long does one session last?
Each individual prayer may last about a minute or
less so it depends on how many people are there and how many pray.
We have had from 2 to 5 people pray so the prayer sessions are Quik
but powerful. Hence the name “Quik Pray”.
What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
—David
C. McCasland
No matter where we are, Jesus is only a prayer away.
