The Open Range Church
and
Pastor Jason Lyle
As we embark on this Spiritual Journey
Many of us on a search
Looking for that place of comfort
The family of God known as the church
A plumber from Georgia who received the call
Took the opportunity to put it in place
A major task of which to accept
But one he was willing to face
The Holy Spirit’s teaching leads him to speak
To those who cross his path
You can see God work as we continue to grow
Just sit down and do the math
Our choice of gathering is not a building
Embraced on top with steeple
But instead its just your typical horse barn
Filled with your everyday people
Some think we’re strange to bring the Gospel
To others by way of the horse
But when you are on the side of God
Anything is possible of course
Dusty gravel road and a fellowship dinner
We gather each Tuesday to eat under the loft
When you accept Jesus the angles will sing
And we’ll baptize you in the horse trough
During the hot Georgia summer in our red barn
Without conditioned air we are subject to sweat
But time spent together is a treasure for us
One that is cherished and one we’ll not forget
We sing some songs better than others
Some we sing to bring down the house
We sing so loud we rattle the rafters
And that’s when we disturb our little church mouse
Some men are considered casual leaders
While others just try to suffice
But our Open Range family is very fortunate
To have Pastor Jason, A Disciple of Christ
So next time you are lonely, upset, or confused
Nowhere to turn and looking for change
Know that you have a friend in Jesus Christ
And a place of comfort at the Open Range
