King, 2 Boys, and a Cat

There was a king who was the wealthiest of the land and he had 2 sons.  The 2 boys were having a silly little argument. One of them said that a man is born a gentleman and that is the only gentleman you see. Nobody can be made into a gentleman. And the other son said, “That’s crazy”. There are all kinds of gentleman running around that were born a nut case. So the father was tired of hearing them argue so he said, “Both of you have a week and after the week you can prove your point. So the first son is walking down the road and goes by a pub. Just as he is passing pub, out of the swinging doors comes this cat that is holding this tray and the tray has a beer on it. The cat has on an apron and proceeds to serve the customer the beer. So the son says, “I know that cat was not born a waiter”.  He was born a cat. So he buys the cat and knows that he will be able to prove his point. Well, the other brother is walking home and he is a nervous because it is getting towards the end of the week and he had not figured out how to prove his point. As he passes a store he sees something in the window and says, “That’s it! That’s it right there.” So he buys it, puts it in a box and takes it home. So the time came to present each boys case to the king and the first boy brings out the cat and he has a little tuxedo on with the tail sticking out the back and he has his tray and he brings a drink to the king. The whole palace goes crazy. The king goes, “Son, you have done it.” And his son said, “See I told you, you can make someone anything you want.”  The other son is still smiling and the king said, “Son don’t worry about it, no need to embarrass yourself. We understand that you are beat.” And the son said, “No sir.” He breaks out a box, sets it on the floor, takes off the top and out run a bunch of mice. The throws the tray, takes off his tux and begins chasing the mice throughout the castle. You may ask what’s the point? The point is that we are all born into sin. There is nothing we can do about it. We can put on what ever facade we want, we can try to be as good as we want, but we still have sin in our lives, and without Christ to cover that sin, we cannot win. Without His strength we cannot go on and without His blood we cannot enter the gates of Heaven. Everyone one of us cannot help ourselves but God tells us that His Grace is sufficient for you. Not only that but He said He would wait for you. So if you’re going through things in your life and you think there is no way you can make it through and that Christ is way way out there but He says my child I will wait for you. You don’t have to worry because I AM here.
